Core technology
Our product platform is based on the LIGA-micro technology and has its roots at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT). This core technology generates sophisticated molds for the production of injection molded microstructures in serial quantities with consistent quality. INSION cooperates with KIT’s Institute of Microtechnology in the fields of technology and product design.
Synchrotron lithography
- Synchrotron radiation ensures a ratio structuring of master structures with the highest aspect ratio.
Micro Injection Molding
- INSION has developed a micro injection molding technology to produce monolithic micro spectrometer units in large serial quantities with identical optical performance data (identical spectral transfer function)
Mirror Coating by PVD (Physical Vapour Deposition)
- Highest reflectivity in the wavelength region of interest paired with extremely robust adhesion to the chip surface is basis for a long term stability and most reliable product performance.
Assembly & Test
- Active optical alignment assures best assembly precision and inter instrument agreement. Computerized rigs conduct 100% testing of optical and electrical performance parameters in combination with wavelength and photometric calibrations.
